I've never been in a casino/hotel where you didn't have to walk through the casino at one time or another.
If you're offended your kids had to walk through the casino to get to the restaurants, then don't stay in a casino hotel. As in all casinos, there was a lot of smoke but that's understandable in these places. The room we stayed in this time wasn't as large as the other times and seemed a little more worn than previous stays. The staff is always great, the rooms nice, and the casino lots of fun. We always stop at this hotel on our NC-AZ trips.
